Diary Cookies cookiess more cookies!
So a few days back-or weeks idk- I started having the urge to put my hands on dem oven! (not exactly put it on top but.. like.. bake) As my mom just bought a new oven, which I've been waiting for for like many years, I decided to bake chocolate cookies with the ingredients I have in my house.
Even though it is the exam week, I couldn't resist the temptation to bake because I love baking! So the first one was chocolate cookies (typical cookie) and it turned out amazingly. For me at least because I believe everyone has their own special and unique preference, taste, and texture of the cookies.
For me, I personally enjoy cookies which look crispy on the outside with golden brown edge but soft and chewy on the inside. It's like two different world. Outside crispy, inside chewy. Yum!! And fyi macaroons are my favourite cookie :p They're lifee. Especially the sauce/jam/whatever-you-call-it thing in the middle holy shitt that just completed the picture of the world's tastiest cookie!
At first, I thought making cookies were hard and takes a lot of time but turns out, it's the complete opposite! The ingredients are simple (except for the part where I had to convert cups into grams measurements) and it really didn't take much time. I was afraid my cookies will come out dry and lumpy base on the not-so-thick dough but I was more than delighted when I found out that they cooked pretty well.
Though it is somewhat hard to chew onto, but that's the type of cookies I like! Don't judge. So if anyone is wondering where did I get recipe from, the link will be here. CLICK ME
ps. I'm not really sure if that's the one I used but yeah I remember using that website ><
And also, the cookies for this recipe is supposed to turn out chewy but if your cookies appear to be hard or too crispy, it's probably because you cooked them for too long. Always remember to keep an eye on the oven as not all ovens work the same :) (I sound like a professional baker omg)
If you like it soft and chewy, take the cookies out once you think it is done or if it doesn't leave any stain on the food tester. Be careful though, because if it stays in the oven for too long, even if it's turned off, the cookies will burn and might be overcooked. This is because it may still be baking inside as the heating element didn't completely cooled down yet!
And the other cookies I'd baked is vanilla sugar cookies :D (but I didn't put too much sugar) To add a little twist, I added a bundle of oreo crush! Because who doesn't like oreo. It turned out reallyyyy reallyyyy crispy, not like the typical vanilla cookies at all! It's very good and the vanilla taste is simply mouth-watering! I followed the recipe from a youtube channel which specialized in baking and that is...*drumrolls* Laura in the Kitchen! Her baking videos are really entertaining and at the same time, full of fun baking tips! Make sure to subscribe to them. Link will be here. CLICK ME
And that's all! I hope you'll be successful whether if it's your first time baking, or if it's not. Enjoy! And that's the end for today :D Byeee to whoever is reading this.
